There's still an emptiness that remains.
I'm heading out in a little while to the memorial ceremony.Still feels like it just happened yesterday AND that it was a long time ago, if that makes any sense.
It seems like it just happened. And it was a lifetime ago. I remember the world before. The quiet after and the chaos that followed and has yet to relent. It can't be forgotten. 22 years feels like 22 minutes.
Take good care today.

Can never forget, it twists in my guts every year, because I was there for some of the environmental cleanup and that scar opens yearly.
