Happy Pub Day, James Byrne

This book knocked my sox off the first time I read it.

And the third.

If you buy it (here's the link) and don't love it, I'll come to your house so you can explain why.

Power point presentation optional.

Booklist gave it a starred review

 And PW liked it too

Library Journal makes it a hat trick

But the ultimate vote of confidence: Tim Lowe won't let his students borrow his copy to read at home. They have to read it in class!

Awesome. I've been looking for something like this. Love a good thriller. And that is a great character name. Wish I'd thought of it. Ordering now.

She's not kidding. My kids love this book. And some of them are reluctant readers! (I loved it too -- Dez is one of the coolest characters who has come my way in a long time!)

Awesome! I love a good thriller. I'm excited to pick up a copy. I'll add it to my TBR list right next to Sunburn by Laura Lippman and Prince of Thieves by Chuck Hogan.

I don't think I've ever gotten a bad recommendation from this blog, including the comments.

My copy arrived today and I couldn't wait to read that prologue you promoted in your email. And you were right, it is a helluva(n) opening! Looking forward to chomping through the rest. If it lives up to those first pages, it should be a smash hit!\

Tim Lowe already kicked me outta class, so I guess I gotta get my own copy. I'm tempted to lie to the Shark and pretend I don't like it, but ... PowerPoint.

Sounds like a great read for The Hub - I'm always on the lookout for books he'll read. He tends to read non-fiction, so it's harder to find something in the fiction world that interests him, but I think this will be a winner.
