Veteran's Day

Thanks to all the men and women who've served our country.

And thanks to all the families who also served.

In Flanders Fields
By John McCrae

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Good for you Janet Reid. I served four years in the infantry during Korean War. I'm 93 now.

Thank you, Janet.

It's good that we focus on something that is important for a bit. They say that 22 vets a day commit suicide, but that isn't correct. Many states don't report vet status on suicide deaths. So, the number is much higher.

It's good to keep in contact with our vet friends every day.

To all you vets out there and the families, thank you. You're the best.
