"Never miss a chance to do good"--David Stanley
Thanks to all the men and women who've served our country.
And thanks to all the families who also served.
In Flanders FieldsBy John McCraeIn Flanders fields the poppies blowBetween the crosses, row on row,That mark our place; and in the skyThe larks, still bravely singing, flyScarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days agoWe lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,Loved and were loved, and now we lie,In Flanders fields.Take up our quarrel with the foe:To you from failing hands we throwThe torch; be yours to hold it high.If ye break faith with us who dieWe shall not sleep, though poppies growIn Flanders fields.
Good for you Janet Reid. I served four years in the infantry during Korean War. I'm 93 now.Bill Plante
Thank you, Janet. It's good that we focus on something that is important for a bit. They say that 22 vets a day commit suicide, but that isn't correct. Many states don't report vet status on suicide deaths. So, the number is much higher. It's good to keep in contact with our vet friends every day.To all you vets out there and the families, thank you. You're the best.
Thank you, Dena.
