Beau and Django!

Beau!
This is Beau, our French Bullfrog....I mean French Bulldog. He was a gift from our French Electrician. The French refer to their character as a Philosopher in a clown suit. Oddly fitting, he is an absolute love, kind hearted, but sadly malodorous**.

Django!

This is Django. He was abandoned down our driveway late one night. It was raining out so we let him stay the night. He hasn't left yet. We searched for his guardian, nowhere to be found, so we adopted him. He is the brains of the Beau - Django partnership. He goes into great detail telling Beau about how ..."one day they'll have rabbits."

Blog hiatus update: Getting a LOT of good solid work done, and I must tell you, it feels GREAT.
I had a funny story for all y'all but now I've forgotten it! Dang.

Thanks for providing this lovely content for the blog while I apply my nose to the grindstone.

Lovely pups! And aren't you lucky to have been the chosen ones for Django?

Janet, I forget stuff all the time. Good on you for getting stuff done though, even if you can't remember what it was ;)

Hello handsome boys.

My wife and I found out pretty early on that only one dog could be left alone outside at a time ( we have 50 acres). We got a call one day from a British couple advising us that our boys were in their garden, (luckily it's what we refer to as a yard.) Cindy had the foresight to have I.D. tags made for the little dears. I took a couple bottles of wine to their address and met them and picked up the boys who were lounging under the shade of a willow tree. I checked the odometer of the car, and it seems Beau and Django had traveled 6 kilometres.

They share our house with 5 cats. Have a nice weekend you guys!

Beau and Django make a good team. Hope they get their rabbits someday.

I'm glad your hiatus has let you get work done, Janet.

Today I'm going for my first hairdresser appointment since early March. I so relieved they're still in business and my hairdresser is still healthy. Her daughter was about to have a baby in early April and I think she only got meet her in person a week or so ago.

Hank! I thought I recognized Beau. I didn't know about Django, so wasn't sure. As always, you had a good story to go along with the pics. And look, they went almost 4 miles just to find that willow tree.

Janet - forgetfulness --> a daily occurrence around here.

Me: "I have something to tell you."
Hubby: "Hang on, let me ***." (*** = any activity that takes seconds)
Hubby: "Okay, what is it?"
Me:

And vice versa.

(You probably thought of it as soon as you posted this.)

Oh, Hank, those canine faces! Like KMK, I'm hoping for an action/buddy movie.

Malodorous, and not looking the least repentant.

I met those two little guys and I can attest they are real sweethearts. Beau was always napping while Django was out frolicking in the the mud and twigs, if I remember correctly.

A french resistance adventure/buddy movie set un WWII. The boys have to find the dreaded stash of Bratwurst, or destroy the fifty acres of Merlot and Pinot grapes.

The only thing helping them is the malodorous smell, maybe from a French Bulldog.

That look like sweethearts, Hank
