See ya later, alligator!

I'm off!

I'm kinda nervous about this trip. I haven't left the city in at least 2.5 years.

I haven't even left my little neighborhood in Bushwick much these past pandemic years.

But a pal has persuaded me to venture out -vaxxed, boosted, masked - into the wider world.

Well, wider world in that it's not Brooklyn, but it's also going to be isolated, rural and hopefully deliciously watery!

Have a guess where I'm going?

Or even the direction!

Are you headed out anytime soon? Where are you headed!

Safe travels!

I mostly haven't been anywhere except work and home during the pandemic (when you work at a hospital nothing much changes). Since I'm at work most of the time I don't want to go anywhere but out to play in my garden on the weekends. It's our little piece of
paradise.

Come on down to Florida. We've been back to normal for the past year and a half or so.

Somewhere, beyond the sea

My Queen is waiting to see.

Have a good time down the shore.

The Great Lakes?

Otherwise to Jessica Faust's house. I think she lives in a rural place. And she is your pal. 🥰

Oh no, maybe it's not Jessica because "pal" means a male friend? 🤔
Sorry for my English. 😬

I was hoping you were going to say Paris, but alas, I think it could be just about anywhere. I would think for New Yorkers, rural is any place outside the five boroughs. Or perhaps I'm mistaken.

My husband and I will be leaving next week, not far, just to Brittany and Normandy, Saint-Malo and then to Mont Saint-Michel to be exact. We like to get away when Parisians begin to return from their summer holiday.

Opps! Off it went before I could say, have a wonderful time wherever you're going.

If it's deliciously watery, I'm guessing somewhere east of the Rockies. Minnesota? Maine? I hope you have a wonderful time, wherever your travels lead!

Eastern Kentucky? I mean, it's rural, isolated, and after the past few weeks, certainly watery.

Wherever you go, I hope you have a lovely time and return refreshed and uninfected. I went on a long-distance trip recently that involved lots of close contact (it was for a pair of funerals, so there was hugging) and came through it all unscathed, so hopefully it'll be the same for you.

My guess is somewhere in NY that is not NYC. Maybe to the ocean to meet up with your Pal Bruce and other shark types? I see you've packed your book bag.

I hope you have a great trip!

My family just returned from Yosemite. The southern end just burned so we saw a lot of black acreage and the fire-smell was pretty strong there, but the air was clear in Yosemite Valley and we had a great time.

I am guessing Michigan! This is the place to be if you want gorgeous beaches and quiet reading time!

Rural...? I hope you get to pet a pony or two. And take in that terrifically wonderful horsey smell.

It's nearly impossible for us to leave here - too many critters to tend. But I'm not complaining. I'm a homebody, and if we do manage to get away I'm usually ready to head back home after just one night away.

Have fun!

I just returned from the Great Lakes. Definitely watery and relaxing--a much needed break. Hope your sojourn, wherever it takes you, is exactly what you need.

I'm headed out this morning. Little low key cabin by New Hampshire lake with friends in tiny private beach to relax all week. My favorite time of year to destress and let the mind and body reset.
Have fun Janet!

Could it be, you're headed overseas, to a wee isle in Scotland or the UK? Wherever it is, U.S. or not, have a good time.

Me, I did a 2-night stay away from home during my stay home vacation in Red Wing, in its historic hotel and restaurant next to the Mississippi River. Just a short drive away but it did a world of good.

The prismatic waterfalls of Carkoon? Gotta make sure those inmates are being treated right, well, wrong I suppose.

Well, your book bag probably came from Montreal, but that's not rural. I'll guess rural Ireland. Have fun!

You: somewhere along the Atlantic Coast, maybe a bit more north.
Me: off to RWAus in Western Australia with AJ Blyth (and 260 other Romance authors).
His Grace: off to England to defend Australia's honour in Commonwealth fencing. Wish I was going, but hey.

all three (hundred) of us: many books to be read.

I live in Palm Springs, CA now and it's always a vacation here. But I'm still following COVID protocol.
