I'd intended to have a blog post prepared for today but this past week I've been felled by a brutal cold. I was so relieved it wasn't Covid that I almost (almost!) didn't mind the addiction to Sudafed.
Hopefully today will be the first day I don't have to wake up an hour early just to blow my schnozz enough to be able to speak.

All my sympathy goes out to you, my Queen! A nasty cold (or the regular flu) is one of those things that I absolutely am POSITIVE I'm not gonna die from, but I am never quite convinced that's a Good Thing. Then, of course, Covid popped up and...yeah...
Just SO happy you don't have Covid. And wishing you get all better faster than fast!
I'm sorry, Janet. Isn't it an odd world we live in when we're thankful to have a cold, flu, sinus infection, and not something else?
The last time I stocked up on generic cold medicine was for the horses who had colds running rampant through them. The vet said he could give me an expensive cold medicine but this generic cough syrup was the same thing. Go forth and conquer...and save money. I went to a local drug store that had it on sale and wheeled up with a shopping cart full of cough syrup.
"Uh, let me call my manager."
They thought I was making drugs.
I showed them pictures of the horses. "I probably have horse manure on my boots. The vet said to buy this instead of him prescribing me expensive cough syrup for thirteen horses. See that pickup out there? That's mine. Seriously, do I look like a drug dealer?"
She let me have my cough syrup.
For some reason, that, "Wishing you champagne brunches and caviar dreams popped into my head, but I'm sure you just want chicken soup and Sudafed."

Strange times when we get a plain old ordinary everyday cold and have to explain it to terrified neighbours, coworkers, or strangers on the street. Get well soon.
