we don't pussyfoot around on royalty statements!

You know this isn't my office cause there are no maps on the wall, no coffee cups at the ready, and there's a frisky feline in the picture!

Isn't he just a cutie pie?

He's got more energy than I did yesterday.

I was felled by a migraine brought on by the erratic barometric pressure, and tried to tough it out.

BIG mistake. By the time I took my meds, I could only lie down for the next 24 hours and pray the building didn't catch on fire.

Have you postponed doing something you came to regret?

Regrets, I've had a few, but then again, too few to mention...

But never from postponing anything. But some regrets, yes. Mostly from wrong decisions though. Not 'bad' ones, but wrong ones. I don't know that any decision is bad as long as you learn from it. And I have.

And that cat is adorable! Neither my dog or cat are ever interested in watching anything on a screen. Noises from the laptop or TV yes, but visuals...nope.

And I meant to say, I'm sorry about your migraine! I know you're a sufferer and I am too though now that I'm older, I don't get nearly as many as I used to. But they really are debilitating. *hug*

I too suffer from migraines that have stolen bits of my life. As for postponing things that I regret - the list of things that I did not postpone is shorter. Sadly. If you need an example of how NOT to live your life, see me. I am a willing and ready cautionary tale about squandering the small allowance of time we are each given.

I do thank God every day for this writing community. It has been a revival for me in the past five years. Feel better soon, Janet.

Regrets, I've had a few. But I can't sing. Although I do sing to tone deaf cats. They like the attention.

A cat in the office makes it a home.

You may be rapidly achieving QOTKU status, but I have my own humble realm where I am the reigning Duchess of Postponing Fifteen Minute Projects Until They Become Anxiety Inducing Monsters (DOPFMPUTBAIM).

The acronym needs work. I'll do it later.

Ooooooohhhh my goodness, WHO is that extremely distinguished gentleman? I have an incurable weakness for orange cats.

I also had horrible migraines for much of my life, beginning when I was about 11. My mom, my neurologist and I used to say that it was a bucket: different triggers poured different amounts into the bucket, and when it overflowed, you got a migraine. Barometric pressure fills my bucket up about 65% on its own, so I have to try to empty everything else out. For me, working out (sometimes twice a day in "migraine season") and getting on a regular sleep schedule helps, but maybe the biggest change was taking CBD sleep gummies (no THC, not psychoactive). They help me sleep deeper, and it really has made a world of difference.

Non, je ne regrette rien.

I'm a professional procrastinator, and I own this about myself.

Although medicine related procrastination is not good. I hope you're feeling better now, Janet.

Why put off until tomorrow what can easily wait until Thursday?

A father in my WIP regrets putting off making up with his son. Alas, he'll be dead in 14 pages (12 if I edit ruthlessly), so he won't be able to learn from his mistake, but maybe somebody else will.

Boiler maintenance! January + Minnesota + weekend away + boiler gremlins = BRRRRRRRRRR. Our boiler also provides our hot water, so we couldn't even warm up by washing dishes or luxuriating in a scalding hot shower. We swaddled ourselves in enough fleece to make the Michelin Man look svelte by comparison and hunkered down for three days because we're too cheap to pay the emergency service fee. I can out-procrastinate anyone, anywhere.

Hope you'll soon be migraine-free, Janet!

I am sorry that you feel like you are procrastinating, especially with a migraine. Be kind to yourself.

I try not to procrastinate, but at times I get overwhelmed and let thing slide. Had to stash the wood for the cabinet because I am currently overwhelmed. The need to get out has caused a huge spike in newbie sports people.

I am trying something new and supplying plans to companies rather than a mold ready model. They are only recreational types of things, but I hope I haven't missed anything during this rush.

She was my roommate in a wonderful grand apartment I
rented in Boston who called that town "the sprawl" and
pretended she didn't like it. She called me "Loll" because
of the way I lolled around on the sofa, writing sketchy
stories I never quite finished. "More Plot!" she'd
complain. She had a soft, out-of-focus face, and a warm
smile. Women enjoyed her company and men followed
her at bars and parties. She started cooking for her
boyfriend, an abusive, dangerous guy with allergies
who snored. One night he died.
I know how and why, but I'll never tell.
