Bentley!

Bentley!

This is Bentley. He is a neighbor’s cat. He’s very dapper in his bow tie. His parents are the brother and sister-in-law of the people from which we recently purchased our house. Bentley stares in our front screen door, waiting for the previous owners, Uncle Walt and Aunt Liz to give him treats. When we don’t let Bentley in the front door, he tries the back slider. My wife is not a fan of pets, but I am. I look forward to my new nephew visiting his Uncle Kregger

We've been a bit busy here at the sanctuary. Not much computer time. I'm just now getting caught up on the last few days of the kitty pics and blog hiatus updates.

I've lived such an extreme rural life for nearly 30 years, it's healthy (on a compassionate social level) to be reminded that things like getting laundry done and going to the post office - to name just a few daily life chores - is complicated for others.

Lennon: I loved meeting Mare-Bear. Thank you, Doc, for sharing her story, and for taking her in at your veterinary clinic.

Claudie: Thank you for fostering! It's such a selfless and important step in battling the issue of homeless animals.

Kregger: Bentley certainly is a handsome fella. But what is this "not a fan of pets" thing of which you speak?

These "things" of which we speak are like Bigfoot. They are elusive and hard to photograph, but they do exist. I live with one...not Bigfoot, right? You understand, right?
Honey! Don't read the comments!

I love tuxedo cats and Bentley is a fine example. How lucky you are that he likes to visit and you never know. He might just win that certain someone over.

Noting down the name "Bentley" to use in a future story... wait... I did use it in a previous story.

Dang. I love that name.

Kitty looks cute too.

That is the look of longing I see on the faces of the other five cats who want to live with us.

It is a shame they attempt it the barbaric way they do. There is one who was the runt of the last litter on our property who is doing it by being sweet. Regretfully we have already had a psychopathic asshat cat barge in (to bring the house total to three. He picks on the baby girl and drives her back out, where she gets picked on by all the others. It's a shame).

Kregger: I think I would accidentally leave the door open to let Bentley in. If your wife doesn't scream or throw things you might have an in.

Bentley looks like just the type to bring out one's inner cat lover. Good luck!

Ha, I was wondering what the story on this one would be. Handsome nephew!

Bentley is a class act. As a person who loves cats but has the misfortune of being severely, hopelessly allergic to them, I appreciate neighborly cats.

I second everything Fearless Reider said :)
