Toby!

This is Toby, our new dog. We adopted him from a local rescue in April (yes, he is a "corona dog"). He's also a mystery mutt, two years old and sweet as pie. This photo shows, I think, how most people felt during shelter-in-place...you just had to know what was going on in the outside world.-Leslie

Hiatus update: What is it about Monday? Even when I work from home now, Monday is just brutal. Doesn't help that the weather is trying to decide what to do. Shifts in barometric pressure wreck havoc on my head.

Today's one of those days where I would have floundered trying to find a topic for the daily blog post.  Thanks again to all of you who are helping out with content right now.

I am making good progress on my reading!

Hmmm? Could this be our Query Shark taking a breather? Shark shows up at Rockaway Beach days before NYC beachgoers can swim

Awww, such a cutiepie.

Last night, I started Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks. Stayed up until 1 am. It's a small book, inspired by the true story of how an English village dealt with the plague in 1666. And no, I have not found it depressing.

What I do find depressing is waking up to condensation on all my windows, on all sides of my house. Let's swim in hot air, shall we? blech.

Toby is waiting for Janet to come out and play.

Lisa, I loved Year of Wonders.

After a whole day of rain yesterday, we're getting sunshine and heat today. Not bad for the end of June.

We have had a few bad hair days down here of late, too. 86F at 0800 this morning, humidity already in the eighties also. Started to sweat just drinking coffee and perusing the digital paper.

Toby looks ready to do some Frisbee hunting, maybe it cats. he's a cuties, if he had the curly alpha tail he would remind me of the Cisco Kid,the dog that found me while I was in the pound, known as Clearwater Jail.

Toby is such a cutie!! Congrats on your addition!

After several clear and beautiful weeks, we've been having thunder and rain, and I hear you on the barometric headache hell, Janet. That's been me since....Friday?

Toby is quite a cutie. You can tell by the way he holds his tail he's a happy guy. I agree with Melanie, I need to see his face.

Aw, what a cutie. Yeah, I want to call his name so he'll turn around. I expect Toby's expression is a pretty happy one!
