"This is Sun, a Korean Jindo rescue. My son and his wife spent weeks/months getting acquainted with Sun while she lived in the shelter. When she finally felt confident enough to leave the shelter and go home with them, she would not go into their home. So my son built a shelter in a fenced-in yard for her. They left a door open for her and eventually she wandered in on her own. She's beautiful and smart and loving."

Just the sort of post I needed to read this morning. Your son and daughter-in-law are good people. We need more of this in the world.
What a gorgeous little dog! And good on your son and your daughter-in-law for giving her the time and the space that she needed. That level of patience is #goals, as the kids say.
Aww, Sun. What a lovely girl. And such a heartwarming story. A high-five, OP, to your son and his wife.
What a pretty face! And so glad your son and his wife took the time to think about what Sun needed from them rather than what they needed from her. Makes all the difference.
I'm a sucker for tall pointy ears and Sun's ears are amazing! What a sweet girl. Glad she found a perfect home.
I love rescues. What a beautiful animal!
In Korea dogs are not allowed inside. Sun definitely hit the jackpot.
aww...what a heart-warmer, both the dog and the compassion of your son and daughter-in-law.
I love this post, Sun-shine all around. Thanks for sharing.
What a wonderful story! Sun is a great name for a beautiful dog. It's perfectly poetic that she's now warming the hearts that thawed hers.
Lovely picture, pretty dog
Sun's story brought some sunshine into our days. Welcome home, Sun. You're a lucky dog.
Aw, Sun, it was great to hear your wonderful story.
What a beauty and what a lovely rescue story.
Sun is lovely. She has almost a doe-like grace about her. So glad your family took her in.
What a gorgeous dog and tale (tail?). Sun's life mightn't have started well, but her forever home will make up for it.
