Thumbs is busy

Thumbs is busy petting me right now.
She'll get to her blog when I'm ready to take my morning snooze.

Now I have this song in my head.....

Under my thumb
It's a Siamese cat of a girl
Under my thumb
She's the sweetest, hmmm, pet in the world

We are Siamese if you please
We are Siamese if you don't please.

I think it's from the Lady and the Tramp and I was very young when I heard it.

I hope Thumbs will be ok. I need a nap.

Coop must be getting lessons from a cat on how to ensure the receipt of petting from humans. For the past couple of days he's essentially knocked my computer from my hands and tried standing on my face. It has not been very comfortable for his human.

To Her Grace, the Duchess of Yowl:

I am pleased to hear that Thumbs has her priorities straight. It sounds as though you have been successful in training her to your specifications. An admirable feat, humans being what they are, and part-time employees not always giving complete satisfaction.

It took me two full years to train my humans. Fortunately, I am patient by nature, and they do have some endearing little ways to offset their basic . . . But no! Calling it stupidity would be unkind. Let's just say they're not the sharpest claws in the paw.

Well, as long as she has her priorities straight. We know where we stand in the great feline Chain of Being.

I appreciate Janet Reid's situation. Much of my typing is disrupted by my cat Brigada demanding I hold and pet her (She's meowing for me to pick her up now - she has a Pavlovian response to tying keys) (and now I'm typing with one hand and holding her with the other).

I sometimes refer to Jenny as "my typing impediment."
