Return to the Duchess of Yowl

The Duchess of Yowl is invisible.

I am faced with a dreadful conundrum.
The Duchess of Yowl's royal heating pad was off when I arrived.
I forgot to turn it on.
Thus the only warm thing in her Royal Suite is ME.
She's been cuddling up with me a lot. Extra petting time, extra purring.

So now that I've realized the heating pad is OFF, do I turn it ON?

DoY needs a heating pad in this heat?

We're inside.
The AC is running.
We're also quite concerned about potential blackouts!

Save power. When those cuddles are gone it is a long lonely day.

Absolutely not. If she's happy, the world is happy. Purring cats are therapeutic.

Kitty missed Mommy. Lonely nights. Poor service. No TV. No music. Very Bad.

You know, you should really put a warning on this post.

This is not a snake! Since it isn't a snake, cuddle.

Put her outside for 2 minutes. The heating pad will be a thing of the past.

Do you turn on the heating pad? Depends on if you want to get anything done or not. ;)

Ramona, who loves warmth and spent most of yesterday lying on the porch, is inside for the AC today. Harper is roasting himself on the porch but I'm going to bring him in soon.
Hot and humid even here in the mountains.

A cup of liquor will make you hotter than a heating pad.

And didn't you say, Saturdays are for reading!?

I read somewhere that a cat's most comfortable temperature is in the low 90s. Can you imagine kitty's frustration when, just as the room is finally getting to a nice, comfortable temperature, a human fiddles something on the wall and kitty is back in the deep freeze.

You have q heating pad for your cat? I've never heard of anyone doing that.

I was without heat for three days in the coldest of winter days. My then cat Poinciana crawled under my bed covers.

My current cat Brigada wants to be cuddled all the time, hot, cold or just right. I'm just so lovable.

The Duchess expects options and it is your duty as her humble servant to supply them. Perhaps when she slinks off to the Necessary or is dining on that delectable fresh tuna you have prepared for her, you can slip away and turn on the heating pad.

One shudders to think of the consequences of offending Her Grace.

😂 I jumped, seeing your photo. Thought it was a Copperhead tail...oi. The heat has the snakes sunning here.

P.S. I'm not "Unknown." I'm known. I'm not sure why I was listed above as Unknown instead of Joseph S.

Did I fix it?

EDIT: Yes I did. Now I'm ready to set the clock on my VCR (yes I still have one).

A hot water bottle would work, in case you get hungry or something. It wouldn't even take any electricity. Just fill it and set it outside for a minute or two.

You sure that ain't an armadillo there?

I hope not, those things can be contagious.

Cats just know. Right? And now I do, too.

A cat can tell whether you chomp or make writers miserable. DoY would not cuddle with you if you REALLY did. She is far too posh!

YAY - listen writers:

Janet is NOT as scary as I've always believed. Go ahead, you CAN query, email or talk to her!

I say cuddle. You'll miss her when she retires to her weekday residence.
