I had my nose in a book yesterday and didn't get my wits together for a blog post for today.

It's snowing here, supposed to get 3 - 6 inches, but I'm not seeing that happening. However, the fire is lit already and we'll stay warm since it's only 14 here right now.
Aaww, seems that handsome boy had fun playing in the snow.

Not sure what the latest forecast for here is saying. Snow, rain, a mix? The look of the sky and the smell of the air outside suggest we'll soon have snow. Hope so. It's magical!
A couple inches of snow yesterday but this morning it's clear skies at 1 degree Fahrenheit. It's been unseasonably warm this January and I've missed the cold and snow.
Here in Upstate NY it's in the upper 20s and a fine snow has started. although not steady. By 1:00 it will be SNOW right through the latter part of Sunday morning. We're due for upwards of 20".
Snow!! In Kentucky, we’ve barely had any this year! I would love to see that gorgeous white blanket, thick and soft, at least once each winter. The beauty here is that most years it melts pretty quickly, although I’ve been immobilized for weeks once or twice in my lifetime in Kentucky. I don’t envy people who deal with snow as a way of life. I do envy you guys who are basking in the sun—a deep, ugly, green envy!
Kitty I too am in the zone of impending snowpocalypse! Walking the puppy at this morning was the platonic ideal of "the calm before the storm"; almost no cars, almost no people (though one VERY DETERMINED orange cat who was eminently curious about Ulrike, who was in return very curious about this small not-dog who kept following us and then darting away), everything very crisp and quiet and clear.
If I knew how to put pictures in comment sections I'd share a picture of our car buried in snow. All that is visible is a mirror and a bit of the bumper.
Jennifer, for the first time in years I won't be going to Mass. St. Mary's is on a hilly street. The city streets are not plowed right away, especially with a lot of snow expected. The plow-boys will be very busy just keeping the main roads clear for emergency vehicles.
I'm not home right now, but my hubby said it snowed after I left. Then it melted. Living in the high desert means wide swings from high to low (40 - 50 degree spread) and weather you can't really count on. Although I guess most everyone has untrustworthy weather these days.
Sixteen inches by tomorrow. Looks like tonight is a good time to strap on the snowshoes, strap the old guitar on the back and hoof it to the local brewerey.
Whoever that good boy is, the red collar looks great against his lovely coat and the snowy background.
It's 54 degrees and overcast here in San Francisco - pretty typical for this time of year. We had a lot of rain this past week (not complaining!) and high winds (complaining).
I miss living in a climate where it snows. Easy for me to say, though, since I've never had to deal with it as an adult.
It rained 6 days last week. All the burn areas were evacuated. Fortunately we didn't have major mudslides like we did last year.

Although we enjoy four seasons, snow is rare in middle Georgia. We are, however, experiencing heavy fog today. I captured some neat photos of the sanctuary herd earlier (posted on my FB page).

It's been snowing since before I woke up this morning, with expectations of 4-7 inches. Wife and I did our grocery shopping yesterday. Odds are good I won't be leaving the house until work Monday morning.
We still have a six-foot snowwolf (blame/credit to my son) lording over the front yard from last weekend, and the Weather Guessers say more is on the way today.
Regardless, the forecast for my office: Mild with gusts of editing.

Funny, this question today, though, because there was snow here in England last night at around 8pm. For FIVE long minutes.
Folks in the street flipped out with joy. I saw noses pressed against windows as I walked home. A girl somewhere urged her friend: "Quick, I need milk before we get snowed in!"
Ha ha, the English and the snow... it hardly settles on the ground and they're snowed in. Country comes to a stand still - cute!
But, pleeease, can you send all your snow over here?! Thank you.

I went fishing in shorts and a tee shirt this morning. That cold front is supposed to sweep past us tonight. Florida does have seasons, they are just three hours long.
Lots of snow in Toronto, Canada and I couldn't afford snow tires, so hoping I will be okay for the long winter months. The worst is the cold, the wind sometimes when it snows its not that cold but the cold-front for days is too much, the plus its a perfect day for writing, reading, Netflix binge watching.
Totally off topic, but is anyone going to be at ALAmw19 next weekend? I'm heading into the city to get an Exhibit Hall pass for Saturday. If anyone is going to be there, a meet-up would be fun!
Molly looks like she's eager for someone to throw another snowball for her! Our black labs were like that in the snow, hard to get them back inside.
No snow here in NC. It's 57*F at the moment with rain on the way. Once it clears out, the low tomorrow is forecast to be 17* (hoping to see the lunar eclipse!). Back up to 63* by Wed, down to a high of 45* a couple days later. Weather here this time of year is never boring.
Not a problem at all. This is Molly’s first claim to fame (my second) and we are celebrating with kibbles and cocktails. PS My other claim to fame is that I was once alone in an elevator with Diana Gabaldon, a fact that I will happily insert into any conversation.

Forecast is for 80 today. We're going to the Highland Games. Supposed to be in the 30's by Monday, though.

About 5 inches of snow overnight in southwest WI. Now it's sunny and cold. Snowblowers are humming outside.

Perfect blue sky and a high of 60 expected. Off to my sheriff department course this morning. :)
So, that's where all our snow went. We've been having a lot less snow this winter in my neck of Western Canada.

But we did get frost last night. And the wind blew our pilot light out. It was cold.
We got our "one snow a year" last month and I'm already in spring mode. Bring on the sunshine.

Our snow started (Cleve-land) started about 3pm. Not bad. I saw worse in northern Michigan.

Our roads are bad right now, but not because we've had a TON of snow? Just...the plow guys driving around haven't really plowed? Very confusing.
Rika enjoys it, though. She seems to forget each time, and then get outside, realize it anew, and start frolicking.

I am at Iguazu Falls, 95° in the shade! Just looking at Molly cools me down and makes me happy.
