Pets on Parade Day Two!

Butternut

Butternut, Queen of the Pillows, Avoider of Children. Known as Butternuttyboos--moniker squealed affectionately without reserve--resides mostly in the master bedroom amongst the blankets and pillows.

She's four years old, weighs nine pounds, and cannot resist pouncing on unexpected movement beneath a coverlet.

(As her personal photographer, I crawled around the bed and quietly snuck up the edge to capture this picture. She often gazes at me with a puzzled expression, but tolerates my odd behavior as I'm the one who feeds and brushes her.)

Butternut! Such a beautiful girl with a great name. I love that Mystery Person went to great lengths to capture the shot. Nice going! In Butternut's honor, I shall now have a bowl of butternut squash soup. For breakfast.

What a great expression!

Hooman, why are you on the floor?

She's a cutie :)

Wow, makes you wonder what she is thinking. What a puzzled look she gives here.

I love that expression and the obvious love between you two. What a fortunate pair.

Good to know that I am not the only source of endless confusion for cats.

That look might also be about the fracking paparazzi.

Butternut is a beauty! She looks like the twin sister of Orlando, The Marmalade Cat (from the book series). She's obviously a smart cat, too, to have claimed the master bedroom :-)

Avoider of children... Love that! Our cats disappear when any guests come to the house. Butternut is a beauty.

Butternut looks so plush and lovely! Also either perplexed by your antics, pre-pounce, or both! (without a view of the tail action, it's hard to decide)

Ah, yes. Must destroy the evil Toe Monster!

A very lovely lady.

BUtternut is a beauty. I picture her thinking "What are you doing down there? Is there food? There must be food."

She chose a bedspread that complements her colors. Clearly a cat of elegant taste.

I see now that V Brown is the Fortunate Person Who Gets to Spend Time with Butternut. Merry Christmas to you and Butternut, V Brown!
