Pets on Parade Day Three

Bob Marley!

Bob was left in a box at my local pet shelter. He lived in a cage there for one year before I came along. I was always amazed that he survived this. I was directed to the kitty lounge and he hopped right into my carrying container and lay down. We have tolerated each other ever since.

Merry Christmas!

Bob, you handsome fellow. My guess is you're quite a character. I love that today's Mystery Person and Bob have "tolerated each other ever since."

So glad he found a forever home. Love this pic, such expressive ears and eyes that speak of...toleration?

So glad Bob Marley got out of that cage. He is a handsome looking fellow.

Now when I see a cat in a bucket, I will always hear "don't worry, be happy," in my head. Merry Christmas, little Bob Marley! Glad you found a forever home.

I love this story. It's kind of like my son Will. He went to the shelter to get a kitten and Buddy put his paw up on the cage when he walked by like, "Hi, I've been waiting for you."

The shelter people said he normally just ignored people and lay in the back of his cage.

Animals know when they have found the right person and I am so thrilled you and Bob found each other.

Looks just like my writing cat Ozzie when I had him. Best kind, gray tabby. Mellow fellow who slept on a broken chair beside me while I wrote. He smelled good too. I miss him, glad for you and Bob to have each other.

He looks so classy. Wishing I had a bucket to sit in right now.

Oh my, this brought an immediate ear-to-ear smile. And what a great way to gain a roomie ;)

Bob Marley is one cool cat. I love his beautiful gray fur. Glad he's out of the shelter and jammin' with you, instead, OP!

Bob is a handsome fellow. I like that he appreciates the classic bushel basket over the more modern cardboard box. Nice choice, Bob.

Is it just me, or are we writer Reiders cat people??!

I am mostly, though honestly, I'd probably have a dog too if I weren't allergic.

It is wonderful that he survived his ordeal and that you rescued him, the true meaning og a win/win.

Lennon: Sorry dear, but Don't Worry, Be Happy is a Bobby McFerrin song. It came out seven years after Bob passed on.

Craig - ha! apparently my mind was jammin' like a traffic jam and not Bob. I've just realized I have ALWAYS associated those two together. Musical paradigm shift!

Loving Mr. Bob. I am so glad he found refuge.

Not all of us reader's are cat people. Well at least in this house we have more dog fur people than we do cat fur people. Though the fur people do out number those of us without fur.

(To be quite clear, six dogs and only one cat. There is also a parakeet. And only six humans. Well at present count anyway. Never can tell when one of the humans kids might decide it's time to move out and we've had several furbabies pass on over the years.)

I see that Craig has been here since I stopped by this morning. There goes my guess for OP. Unless Craig is playing really, really sneaky. :)

I do love me a good gotcha day story. Sounds like Bob saw you coming and did what needed to be done. Also, who could resist a cat named Bob? Not me.

Sorry, Amy, that kitty doesn't meow with a southern accent.

I am not sure if I made the cut for the parade this year. I dawdled too long before getting pictures out.

Ha! I'm not very good at this guessing game, but I have fun trying.
