Those Otter books are so stinking cute!

We get several at my library, because we have the "My First I Can Read" books on standing order, several of which are Otter. I think we've gotten some of the picture books as well? That area is not my specialty.

I love Otter with a mad passion for all animals cute and naughty. I think Otter would have lots of fun with the panda kindergarten.
I need more of Otter's books.

Happy Easter everyone. I hope you all have had a lovely day.

We had Easter Sunday yesterday. My Barbarians are old enough to know about the Easter Bunny, but that doesn't seem to lesson their excitement. In our house the bunny has always delivered a mix of books and choc, so I had two happy Barbarians yesterday.

Heckle received the last two Artemis Fowl books and a Doctor Who Anthology (1 novella for each of the 12 doctors), and Jeckle got the third book in both the Talisman series and House of Robots (James Patterson) series and the first of the Rainbow Orchid trilogy (graphic novel).

Talk about new beginnings... And Janet, delete this (obviously) if it's inappropriate. But we share so much here, I feel moved to let you all know: We were successful in getting custody of the starving little filly. You never know how these things will go till the horse is loaded and you're on the road. But she's here, safe, at the sanctuary. As mentioned yesterday, this was one of the worst abuse/neglect cases we've ever taken on, in 25 years of rescue work. Photos are on my FB page (I love FB!). Take a peek if you want to see her precious little face. Photos don't even begin to capture how thin she is... nothing but bones. Stressful, exhausting, emotional day. Time for a yummy dark beer. HUGS to all!

Melanie, I can't imagine Janet deleting that. In fact, saving a filly and giving her another chance of life is really a perfect Easter story.

Melanie So, so very happy this little one has a chance at a good life now! Resurrection in the best way, to a new, better life.

AJ That's funny. Heckle and Jeckle. I called mine Thing One and Thing Two! More because they (Seuss's characters) were pretty ambiguous and I had girls.

Happy Easter and Pesach Sameach, y'all.

As Meister Eckhart said, "If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, 'thank you,' that would suffice."

Thank you so much for everything, Janet! I absolutely admire you and your community.

And I LOVE Otter!

Melanie, what a wonderful and moving story. HUGS!

So adorable. Nearly as sweet as my Frankie. Happy Easter and all that. May there be chocolate enough for everyone not allergic.

Happy Easter, everyone!
I heard that dark chocolate is healthier for you; so it's best to eat it with the lights off. Yes?

and Melanie, what a heart-warming story - thanks for sharing :)
