I'm off to bed. My husband is reading me scary stories about the crocodiles, tiny jellyfish, snakes, fish and spiders that want to kill us as we sail along the Eastern coast of Australia. I'm going to go read something cuddly and snuggly instead. Some Dennis Lehane, maybe.

But I'm only guessing because you promised a prize, otherwise my answer would be the same as Colin's - the QOTKU posts whenever she jolly well chooses!

Why 12:02pm of course. I don't know about the rest of you, but after reading all those entries, it would appear our conspiring together worked magnificently. We've made it even harder than normal to select a winner! So many wonderful stories!

I broke my rules and entered this one. It was a rough week, and writing keeps me sanest when life hits hard. A stroke in the family. I can't say who it is but, ouf! Luckily we reacted quickly and damage is less than what it might have been.
I guess results will come at 13:50 reef time.

In other words, take your time. I liked the new format. It seemed to me to make the story a slice of a plot to exploit and not a whole plot that needed to be developed and then expressed in 95 words( 100 less the prompts).
I am sure the new format takes a slightly different perspective to judge properly so take your time.

In general, people, we should all know the signs of stroke and don't be shy about getting help immediately. It might be a false alarm, but maybe brain cells are dying RIGHT NOW while you're waiting. Call. Now.
