Merry Christmas!

Last week I received this lovely card  from blog reader Kitty.  When I opened it, I thought, "Wow, what a beautiful church. That looks a lot like Most Holy Trinity!'  And when I opened it, and saw the quote, I realized it IS Most Holy Trinity. It's Betty Smith's church!

It's a perfect card for all us book lovers, and for me specifically because this is my church too! And Kitty knew that from this blog.

I can't think of a better illustration of a lovely friendship. Thank you Kitty!

I thank God today  for my many many blessings.  The readership of this blog, yes that means all y'all, is very high on that list.

I hope your day will be filled with love, however and whatever you celebrate.

OH. MY. GOSH. What a lovely surprise! Thank you :) And a Merry Christmas to you, too, Janet, and to all the Reiders!

Btw, it's been so warm here that yesterday the priest said it was the first time he could ever remember needing the church doors open for fresh air.

Best wishes for 2016!

Merry Christmas to Sharkums and all the blog readers.

I'm glad to see Santa made it around the globe all right, even with his detour to the hospital because of his minor Elf problem.

I went to this blog today because I knew there would be a wonderful Christmas message, and there it is. Merry Christmas Janet to you and all your readers.

Merry Green Christmas from Canada. Very strange. Not sure I like it.

Health, happiness, peace, and prosperity to all my fellow Reiders, and certainly to our Queen.

Cheers,
Amanda

It may not be a white Christmas in central Pennsylvania, but the grass has turned green. Green is a Christmas color, right?

Pardon my forgetfulness, a lot on my mind lately. I realized I forgot to add this:

Happy Holidays Madame Sharque, I am so thankful for your daily gifts of wisdom, and that I have this wonderful commentland to visit.

Clear water, ample chum, and following seas to you this year.

Cheers Hank.

Merry Christmas to all but especially to Janet for giving us a place to question, learn, grieve and cheer each other on. I hope you all have a lovely day.

It's 10:15am here in Michigan and 40 degrees. Yesterday, it was almost 60. I miss my snow. Alas, after three days of an exhausting whirlwind of grocering, baking and cooking for everyone for dinner last night, I am now indulging in my annual Christmas sick-a-thon. :(

CynthiaMc, I'm so glad your husband is home. Best Christmas pressie. You both need to sleep the day away tomorrow.

Janet - I mailed you a gift yesterday. I know it is a bit late for Christmas, but I am sure you will enjoy it. I promise it is not a industrial pack of toilet paper.

Everyone - Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas Janet, and all the Reiders!

And what a beautiful church, and card from Kitty. A tree does grow in Brooklyn, indeed.

It is snowing here; so not only do we have a white Christmas, but we have moisture on the ground for next year's hay crop. A Merry Christmas for sure :)

Turkey is stuffed and in the oven. That plus clean-up after dinner are my Christmas chores. Hubby and kids do everything else. We've had Christmases in the 70s, and we took photos of ourselves in shorts and t-shirts, sometimes even at the beach. Not this year. It was 36 degrees here when I woke up. BBRRRRR. Later today and tomorrow supposed to be windy and only high 50s. BBRRRRRR. Yes, we here in SoCal are weather wimps.

Skyping with Navy son in an hour. I hope everyone here has a wonderful Christmas.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!

So 'Santa' (I) got my 3-yr-old daughter the movie Finding Nemo. I've actually never seen it and sat down to watch it with her. Couldn't help but chuckle at the shark. That is sure an unusual alias to have chosen! Somehow though, it fits :) Merry Christmas Janet and thanks for this awesome blog.

Thank you Janet for all you do for us.

On this very special day may every one of us find peace and joy and forgiveness. May we all revel in our search for perfect words and find them in that special place within our hearts.

That was my Hallmark moment.
Back to our regularly scheduled program.

Merry Christmas, y'all. I hope everyone's day is exactly what you need it to be.

It's warm in Kentucky. My pup is worn out from attacking discarded paper and napping on my bed. I think I'll be joining him soon.

I'm jealous of everyone's warm weather. It's rained every day since November 28th in Oregon and it's now cold, too.

But the sun just came out so at least my dog and I will have a fun midday walk.

I can assure you it's cold enough here in Manitoba for all you guys : )

Merry Christmas and happy holidays, everyone!

Merry Christmas to all, and especially to our hostess, the Queen Of The Known Universe!

We'd hoped to have a green Christmas (the last one was nearly 20 years ago) but no luck. We've got enough of the white stuff to call it a white Christmas.

And from the Pacific Northwest where all the snow actually fell--although I'm on the coast where the "river of rain" has been relentless for weeks--Merry Christmas. May the blessings of the New Year fall, as well, on each of you.

JR, thank you for sharing your card with us. What a beautiful reminder of the reason we set this one day aside each year.

Merry Christmas everyone. I've been holding back from much social media until I finish my Edits of Doom (TM) so I know I haven't posted much, but I'm still here reading and wishing you all a wonderful holiday season filled with friends, family, food and fun! xox

Drinking Santa's White Christmas and watching the old Twilight Zone episode The Night of the Meek - about a drunken Santa who gets fired on Christmas Eve and then finds a bag of gifts. This is the stuff I want to write. Adding that to my normal Christmas repertoire of It's A Wonderful Life and A Christmas Carol. These 3 pieces most represent what I try to achieve in my writing. Watching them all this morning. I love Christmas - even the hard ones.

Carolynnwith2Ns said...

Cyn-Mc, years ago, back before email and cut and paste, I wrote an article about It's A Wonderful life, can't remember what paper it went in, anyway, it received the most letters of all the pieces I have written.
That movie resonates for almost all of us I think. It is my number one Capra film.

Mine too.
