Steal Like An Artist

When I tell people all my best ideas are stolen from other people, I laugh so they think it's a joke.  It's not always a joke.

Steal like an artist.

(points 8 and 10 are my favorite today)

3 - Yup, wrote the book I want to read.
6 - I'm trying to figure out where to put it.

Go ahead Janet, tell me where to put my book, I double dog dare ya.

3 and 5 are my favorites.

Stealing an idea is just an extreme point on the continuum of inspiration. We all do it once in a while, even if unconsciously. The trick is then to spin it in a unique way and hope it becomes unrecognizable. Or to call it "homage". Whatever.

Thanks Janet, this has been summarily stolen and I have invited my friends to wonder at it with me!
