Yes, FinePrint is looking for Fall 2011 intern applicants!
Most of our interns end up with jobs in publishing (the rest end up in straightjackets most likely)

If only I lived in New York.
...and had any ambition.
...or applicable skill.
...or a transport pod.
Any position that offers cupcakes for reading things is just plain irresistible. Hope you find the best fish in the sea! :D
If I lived in NY and didn't have a family to feed, I would be sorely tempted. It sounds like, aside from all the awesome work you do, you guys have such fun. :) Though, I don't know if I'm cut out to be an agent. Being a writer with an awesome agent might be as far as I get. Hopefully. :D
A question. I hope to reinvent myself yet again in a couple of years and this would be my dream gig. Do you have to be young and perky or is halfway-up-but-not-even-close-to-over-the-hill also an option?

Chiming in with another "if only I lived in New York". If you ever have interest in Scifi/Fantasy distance readers, I'll be the first one scrambling for resume' updates.
Janet,
Oh, I'd love to...too bad I'm on the wrong coast.
Question for you - do publishing houses (etc) ever offer internships that aren't on-site? I'm kindasorta interested in this kind of internship - but I'm also in school. Have critical eye, will read; can't travel so much. [g]
Sigh. I live in New York, but I'm closer to Cleveland than NYC. That sounds fantastic.
*sound of a shriveled, grinchy little heart breaking* I'm banished to the Great White North of Canada. 'Shark bites, and cupcakes' aren't effectively delivered online, so I assume it's an in house position only. *le sigh* Fortunately I recently finagled a position at my local library, which is the next best thing:)
Food for the shark. I love reading your blog, it's the first one I look at, after Query Shark even though I know you're not the agent I'm looking for. Good luck with finding the new intern.
