Can I just add something? Come November 30, not only should you never inflict your Nano novel on editors and agents, you should also never inflict it on your beloved beta readers. Clean it up before sending it out--anywhere--into the world. Just sayin'.

I used to think NaNo was this huge deal and it was such a challenge to do 50K in a month. The first time I did it, it was. It was like pulling rhino teeth with piano wire.

Now, my average word count is 5K per day and that's with my internal editor ON.

Margaret, I definitely agree. Give that child some table manners and her Sunday best before you send her out to visit, even to the people who do her hair. :)
