I just wanted to thank you for posting this video. I hadn't seen it, and as someone who spent my own school career being bullied, I have very strong feelings about this topic.
I think he said it well, and I agree with every word.
Fantastic video. I made the mistake of heading over to Youtube and reading the comments. So many people don't understand what a big deal it is that the President issued this statement, for them it just isn't enough.
They all seem to want him to wave his magic wand and repeal anti-gay legislation, regardless of what governmental bodies stand in his way. A few sensible people have tried to explain what the executive branch of the U.S. government is and isn't capable of, but it seems that people would rather have the quick, and probably short-term effects of an executive coup (a la Bush) than to do things properly (which makes it so much harder to overturn the laws for future administrations).
Sorry Janet, didn't mean to overtake the comments with a rant, I'm just frustrated. But so happy to see this video.
I've been watching IGBP grow right from its inception, from when there were only a few videos other than Dan's and Terry's, to seeing hundreds of videos, to the first videos starting to come in from actors and other ecelebrities, then Hillary Clinton, and now this. This movement is so very important, and I am just so pleased and impressed with everyone who is participating.
I talk about IGBP to *everyone* I come across. I hope the rest of you will too.

Well done. Very well done.
Heck, if we go on like this, maybe someday we'll stop Othering altogether. Or all together.
What a class act. This is what leadership is all about.
I have watched a lot of these videos and this is one of the best. His honesty and great message remind me why I like him so much.
That was beautifully said.

I'm a Republican and I approve this message. Thank you, Mr. President.
Wow. Just wow.
Messages like this transcend partisanship, and I'm thrilled the President did this.
He's not even my president, and I'm so full of pride right now.
Yayyyy!
Fred Silberberg echoes my feelings on this. Hopefully the link below will work, should anyone wish to check it out.
