"Never miss a chance to do good"--David Stanley
Ooh, I get first comment! Yay! I write at night so it almost never happens (*insert happy dance here*).Moving right along, I never would've pegged this for a sci-fi novel. DeNardo's review was spot-on: this has mainstream thriller written all over it.Fortunately I have two Trekkies for parents so I'm all over this. I guess you really shouldn't judge a book by its cover after all.
It's so difficult when things fall between mainstream and SF. I wish there were a category just for novels like this. It would be one small shelf labeled "Books Margaret wants to read."
Margaret there is a category for this kind of book. *clears throat* *sounds trumpet* NYT Bestseller!(3 weeks on the extended list hurray!)In all seriousness, you're quite right. *What* to call this is a never-finished discussion. How about *Books You Want to Read*!
I just finished this book. It took me by the throat at the first sentence and didn't let go until the last. Actually, it didn't let go at all. I know now I'll be spending some Christmas money on Lee's GHOST COUNTRY.
