Bouchercon! We won!

I've been at Bouchercon!

I was horrible about posting while I was there, and bad about taking pictures too.

What I did VERY well though was screech "hurray" when clients won awards.

Jeff Marks won the Anthony Award for best non-fiction work for his biobibliography of Anthony Boucher.

Hooray! So glad you're back. Your minions missed you. I was afraid that the FTC scared you into quitting your blog. I should have known better.

I think Andrew Grant will be your next award winner with EVEN. I bought a copy at Bouchercon and I'm definitely into it. He's a hell of an author.

I was becoming worried. What were we to think? Possible reasons for your absence included:

1) Ran away to some beach in Hawaii, currently being served by half naked native boys, sipping pina-coladas.
2) Joined the Justice League.

Congrats and I am glad that you are back!

Thank you, everyone--and congratulations again to Jeff! Winning the Macavity is a tremendous honor and we're still doing the happy dance here at the Dana Cameron Literary Empire.

Thank goodness you're back. I was going through withdrawl from my daily dose of snark. Congrats to your clients and their success and your keen eye for seeing those diamonds in the rough.

For a short description of what it's like to be sitting next to Janet when one of her authors wins, see my blog post.

Dana. Congratulations to you too. It's fun to see friends win.

I think Dana would agree with me that we're are the lucky writers who got an agent like you!

A few years ago I coached a moot court team at a national competition. One of my coachees/speakers 'got it' and actually listened to my advice/critiques (which included using the word xenophobe in his presentation . . .)

When he was named for best presentation I leaped to my feet and made a sound similiar to an 'oooh-gaaa' horn. In a room full of attorneys and law professors . . . I don't care, my guy won!!!

You go Janet!
