It's a shame that you had to miss it. Too bad you don't live on the West coast. I can see how the drive would be a bit much from where you are located. I live part way up the Alaska Hwy, and I can tell you, it's God's country. The scenery only gets better, as you go. There are some fanastic writers north of Mile O, as well.
Hah. You couldn't get off the ground. I couldn't quit hugging the commode on Sunday. I got food poisoning and missed all my seminars, crit sessions, and the afternoon panel. What a loser.
That dog, btw, was THE MOST adorable attendee of the entire conference. If he hadn't been wearing his, "I'm working, don't pet me," he would have been loved to death.
aw that was sweet of them :) it's too bad things didn't work out and you ended up missing it. I know if I were you I'd be peeved. then again I dislike airplanes and just airports in general so that could have something to do with it...
I don't know where to post this, but want to thank you for the big pic of my book, and the blurb and the link to Heidi's interview in the Recent Reads section.
I appreciate it. And I've been enjoying your blog.

I still can't believe you didn't make it. *Sigh* Hopefully, next year will work out better. Nice of the girls to make you a sign (or was it the dog?).
Next time, take Alaska Airlines. They don't care what the weather's like.
Aww, how nice :). At least you were there, wrestling polar bears in spirit, right?
I heard a story on the news yesterday about passengers being delayed in NYC for 6 hours. I thought, "One of them was Janet!"
Apparently your adventures are possibly going to lead to a Passengers' Bill of Rights. So, there is that.
It's so nice to be luved.
That photo is hilarious with the shark teeth totem standing in for you.
Leave Northwest Airlines out of the equation and you just might make it next year.
cute picture! It's really too bad the airlines suck.
Aww...that's awful! Sorry you missed it.

Sorry you missed it, Janet. Great crowd.
What a lovely photo. It looks like a really fun group. Hope you get to go next time. :) Heck! I hope I get to go. lol
We missed you up here. By the way, we missed Lynn on Sunday, too. Hope to meet you next year!

Too bad you couldn't make it. Aim for the next one, and leave out Northwest, and make sure that they know that you won't be their customer anymore.
The picture is fun. I would be so frustrated.

I love that a woman named Summer is holding the sign in Alaska--it all seems so . . . ironic.
How nice. Looks like you wee sorely missed.
Snazzy poodle. It seems statuesque.
