Why I Love Sophie Littlefield...a LOT

Sophie Littlefield is one of my all time favorite people. She's a writer (of course). Sadly she fell into the evil clutches of one of my more slithery competitors Barbara Poelle*** (more about her later) so Sophie is not my client (sob!).

Sophie's book, A BAD DAY FOR SORRY, is coming out next September. Her EVIL EVIL EVIL agent (again, that's Barbara Poelle) hasn't sent it to me. (Frankly Barbara Poelle is a threat to world peace and remember where you heard that first!)

I'm counting the days until her book is published so I can stalk over to Borders and buy several copies. I'm using one as a nerfbat on Barbara Poelle's head.

Now Sophie is known far and wide for being thoughtful and fun (unlike her agent who is cold and cruel and not me). Soph knows I have an octopus kick going so she brought this to CrimeBake:

Sophie Littlefield is terrific. If she writes half as charmingly as she actually IS in real life (unlike her agent who is, again, NOT ME) she's going to be a superstar.

I adore her. You will too.
Remember where you heard that FIRST!

***for any of you who might be confused about the humor here, Barbara Poelle is a terrific agent and I have enormous respect for her. You'd do well to query her and if she offers to take you on, you'd be a fool to say no. Unless of course, I'm also offering. Then you just say "time for the monkey knife fight girls" and we'll duel it out about who gets you.

Welcome home, Miss Janet. You always make me smile. Glad to have you back.

Hopefully, you didn't introduce yourself as Rachel Vater or Barbara Poelle to anyone.

I heard Barbara says the same 'nice' things about you. :)

I second the "Welcome home, Miss Janet"

Wait a second here!!!
You've read it Bill??

Next thing you know, Oprah will have read it, picked it for her damn book club before I've gotten my mitts on it.

Oprah asked me for my copy, but I said, "No! Mine! All mine!"
