Hello Bookstore!

The Bookstore in Lenox, MA

There's a wonderful documentary about this store.

You can see the trailer here.

One of the great things about going on vacation was the route took us near Lenox, so of course we had to stop and buy books and meet the owner.

Do I have to come home?

I love little bookstores like that. Thank you for sharing. And you can work from anywhere you like now days. Find a place that is all you. Although you might lose your favorite Bodega. Enjoy your vacation for as long as you need vacation.

You don't have to go home ... but you can't stay here.

I love the trailer and the owner seems like such an interesting character. It must've been a pleasure to chat with him.

To answer your question, no you don't have to go home, but you need to find a place that's "far from everything, near to everything."

I have that video on my to-watch list on Prime. Here in Corning, NY, we had an independent bookstore called Bookmarks. It was gorgeous. We all mourned its closing.

Hey, Kitty, I knew Bookmarks! And Corning was a fav vacation spot. Look in the Corning Museum of Glass's library to see an article I wrote about James Houston, a Steuben Glass designer as well as award-winning author, illustrator, artist, and screenwriter. (enRoute, Feb, 1985)

That owl is gorgeous. My mother loved owls and glass. She would have treasured that owl ... if I could have afforded it.
