One too many Yankee comments, I guess

Box score for the weekend

Number of times I got lost leaving the hotel trying to find a party, map in hand: 2

Number of restaurants not serving food on Saturday night due to a massive water main break: 400

Number of hours waiting in line for dinner on Saturday night after finally finding a place with water: 2

Number of parties missed due to waiting for dinner for so long: 1

Number of hours delayed due to traffic coming home: 2

Number of new emails waiting when I arrived home tonight: 193

I guess I should quit wearing my Go Yankees! cap in Boston.

There were plenty of restaurants serving--the water main is what we tell Yankees fans.

We find it funny. It was the cap.

Actually, you need to stop being a Yankees fan.

I wonder if you'll still be able to log on to my blog after the lightning strikes?

Ah, and she still has a sense of humor. That was a joke, wasn't it?

I'm actually rather amazed you could still have such a good attitude about writers and conferences after all those adventures. Verily, the stern stuff of pioneers running through those veins.

Don't you stop being a Yankees fan, Janet. We're a hearty breed, and our day will return. If Phil Hughes can locate his fastball.

A Boston restaurant actually served a Yankee fan who refers to supper as "dinner"? I'm flabbergasted, and more than a little ashamed of the establishment.

*snort* She should have seen what we did to the Canadians last week. Seriously. Silly hockey fans.

'twas the cap... when in Bosox country do as the natives do, eat supper and wear the right colors.

Better to have missed all the parties and waste hours than lose sleep because the jackhammer fixing said busted main was outside your window eight stories down. Fun. That was my take-home souvenir. Peace, Linda

A 'Go Yankees!' cap in Boston? You are a brave woman. Please don't ever stop being a Yankees fan. We're everywhere - even middle of nowhere CO.

sometimes it's more fun to wear the Yankee's cap in Boston than in NY.

If you're going to be bold, be bold big!

I agree. What fun is a Yankees cap in NY?

That's OK. I plan to wear my Red Sox 2007 World Series Champions t-shirt to Yankee Stadium on 4th of July weekend. I half-expect the restaurants run out of ice or NYC to have a blackout or something. See what you started?
