  1. Thanks for the rec, but FYI the link is to Jeff Somers' newsletter!

  2. The cats who keep Jeff Somers prisoner have decided they need an upgrade in their diet and accommodations and so have hijacked your blog post to trick as many as possible into subscribing to the Jeff Somers newsletter in hopes of sparking his sales and their income. Just thought I would let you know. Clever cats.

  3. If Ron Charles is Jeff Somers, then I just subscribed :-) The post about 'And Just Like That' almost made me snort out my morning coffee. The footnotes...lawsy I laughed!

  4. This may be the most hilarious promotion I've EVER done for a client.
Thanks to all of you who identified the problem.

And didn't ask if I was losing my marbles.

  6. Huh. I thought I was subscribed to Ron Charles' newsletter, then realized I hadn't seen one in awhile. I am now resubscribed.

When I clicked the link to find Jeff Somers' newsletter, I thought it was an interesting mistake... and I'm already subscribed to that one for sure, but I didn't have time to say anything.

This morning I attended a panel session given by Dana Kaye, publicist extraordinaire, whose newsletter I also follow. It was on the current status of the publishing industry and how the pandemic has affected it (for one thing,it's moving a lot slower than it's previous glacial pace). One of the panelists was a certain Ms Barbara Poelle. If you ever have a chance to attend any kind of session with this wonderful woman, do so. Not only is she successful and knowledgeable as an agent, but she is hilarious. Dana did record this session, but I'm not sure if it's available to folks who weren't registered. (I saw you there, Steve Forti!)

  7. I thought it was an epic "Rick Roll" - and am now signing up for Ron's newsletter.

Claire Bobrow, that AJLT post is an instant classic. As a longtime hater of SATC, I truly enjoyed it.

Thank you, Janet. And I hope everyone has a good weekend

  8. Great promo indeed, Janet. Before I got to the comments I clicked through to both links and thought that was a deliberate move!
