Mme Duchess et frere

The lady in the tuxedo is our Miss Duchess. She has a paw on The Troubled One, her younger brother by one litter.

Miss Duchess was the only kitty in her litter, but she, somehow, became a real sweetheart, except when she takes a spot on the bed. Then you can’t move her with a crane. When she is needful, she is really needful, enough to help us use the restroom.

The Troubled is also a sweet boy, he just likes mischeous behavior. He also snuggles like a sumo wrestler and purrs like a freight train. He also will raise up to meet your petting when he really wants it.

  3. These are two formerly feral kitties that decided I needed some guidance in my life. They wandered into my heart and home, after a visit to a vet.

As with every relationship, there is give and take. Today was a giving day. Today the 3.5 inch rain gauge overflowed at around 1100. The rain is still going on so the cats are having a needful day.

Hanging out by the pool wasn't on their agenda today, so they stayed under foot and meowed a lot.

Troubled was originally called the SCB (Spotted Cuddle Bug), that changed to STB (Spotted Trouble Bug) as he reached his teen years. Then it got shortened to Troubled. He is very good at being a cat. I wish his eyes showed up better. Cat folk would understand

Miss Duchess was a Little Bit, but outgrew that.

  4. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought of another beloved Duchess. Hope Miss Duchess has plenty of tuna.

  5. What a gorgeous pair. We're pet-deprived at the moment and suffering for it. We have plans for a new pup in the next few months, but in the meantime I am loving all the Reider pets.
