Chester and Boris! |
Last year we lost both our cats, Mouse in April at age 16 and Cricket in August at 9. It was horrible, but we knew we wanted cats again, this time kittens. We just had to find the right ones.
In October the Humane Society had a litter of two-month-olds and I fell in love with Chester's picture. When we went to see him, his brother Boris decided we were his people. These are our boys now; Chester is the tabby, and Boris is the grey. They are the sweetest cats I've ever known. They play fetch and love belly rubs.
Hiatus update: I've gotten so much work done, I don't recognize myself. I even managed to post a new entry at QueryShark!
This coming week I will finish the laundry or die.
It's now gotten to be the task that is blocking other tasks from being done, so it has taken on a priority based not just on lack of clean tea towels.
I really appreciate your patience with this hiatus, and your contribution of furry (or scaly!) contents!
What cuties! It's so awesome when a pet picks us, isn't it? And they look so happy.
ReplyDeleteJanet, do you have laundry facilities in your building? Have they been closed? Or do you have to drag it somewhere?
Beautiful boys! Thank you for adopting.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous boys! Love cats who play fetch. It's such fun.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful boys!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to finish ch. 5 before June disappears.
Janet, I hope you fold laundry easily into your routine today.
They're both adorable and I love Boris' grey fur, or is it hair? *sigh*
ReplyDeleteJanet, you better get to that dirty laundry, I can smell it all the way across the pond...Or maybe it's my husband's who just returned after two weeks in the countryside with his! *another sigh*
ReplyDeleteLove and contentment shine forth in their expressions. A great tandem.
Nightmusic, I’m loving The Harder They Fall. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the laundry, Queen of the Laundromat.
Brenda
Brenda, I'm so glad. I'm always a bit leery of recommending something in case the person ends up throwing it against the wall ;) I've never read any of his YA, but he's great at this kind of stuff so I'm guessing they're pretty good.
ReplyDeleteLovely boys!!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I finish my piled up laundry, I think, 'finally. I have my life together. Never will that happen again.'
Every time!
What a handsome pair!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck on that laundry. You go!
Go Janet! So happy to hear this.
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you helped your local Humane Society. The boys are gorgeous.

ReplyDeleteCutest fur faces, and chums!
"Do the laundry or die!" A new trilogy set in the time of Covid-19. First they came for your masks, then your hand sanitizer... now the laundry must go!
...or not.
