Pets on Parade Day Four




Jazz!


This is my carpet monster attacking the chair again.

Jazz joined our family 12 years ago. She was found by my son abandoned in a cardboard box on a commuter train. She was only about five or six weeks old when we got her and had to be fed with an eye dropper to begin with. She flourished and is now the ruler of her domain.

She’s the sweetest cat I have ever known and so well-mannered I can’t believe she’s a cat.

    Such a touching coming home story. Jazz is beautiful on the outside and sounds beautiful on the inside, too. Seems that gorgeous fur of hers would be very camouflageishly useful for sneakishly fun purposes.

    What a beautiful coat!! And I love that pose. I'm so glad your son found her. I don't understand people who abandon pets like that, but it was very much in the cards that she be yours.

    Clever cat, great camouflage - but where is the cat ;).

    I don't have a pet, unfortunately :(. Couldn't send a picture like all of you for these hiatuses...

    But, I'm still thankful for these hiatus days and 'relaxing' photos, Janet, because, you know, it feels like you've sent us all on holiday and off 'school', not 'having' to come here and learn ;).

    I don't mean this in any bad way - it's rather a compliment, cause SO often I see the beginnings of your posts and know I must read them and their comments because they teach me good things.

    Sometimes, I don't have so much time and have found myself thinking "Oh no, not again something so useful", ha ha... but then I don't want to miss them either!

    I don't have so much time at the moment, so thank you for these fun pictures and not calling me 'into class' for a short while ;).

    Hopefully one day I'll/we'll have a puppy! (Sorry DOY - just cause I'd like a dog :/ )

    I agree with K OCD - what fantastic camouflage! I'd be forever tripping over her.

    Never seen a cat's fur "pieced" together in this color combination--front to middle to back end. Shows an interesting heritage. (She'd make a good magician's subject: "where's the middle?")

    Wish I'd gotten a pic of my Callie in. She's lazing on the sofa opposite me. What a life.

    Amy: Not not this one either, though I wish.

    Torbies are beautiful cats and Jazz is a beautiful example of them, what I can see of her.

    It is also rather melancholy. We lost Brindle, a torbie, about three weeks ago. Brindle was the first feral who decided that I needed her company.

    I love the way you got carpet to match your lovely cat. Jazz looks like a sweetheart. I once had a cat that was orphaned and bottlefed as a kitten, and he was very sweet as well.
