Parade of Pets Day 13

Dodger!

This majestic Floofer is named Dodger.

He is, in fact, named after the Artful Dodger. He used to have a brother named Pip.

He belongs to my senior citizen friend, Cecily.

When Cecily adopted Dodger, he came with the name Carleton. He is so clearly not a Carleton. So she kept with a Dickens theme.

It's my privilege to walk Dodger three times a week in the woods. AND I GET PAID TO DO THIS. IN MONEY. AND LICKS. Just like Dodger, I'm King of the World!

  3. Great pic! "Majestic" immediately came to mind. The Fortunate Human Who Gets to Spend Time with Dodger is very fortunate, indeed. I'm sure Cecily and Dodger appreciate your kindness, OP.

  5. Great photo! Dodger looks like the perfect companion for walks through the snowy woods. It seems as if he's just caught the scent of something. Perhaps a squirrel...named Fagin?

  6. Thanks for all the Dodger love! He's a border collie mix, about 50 lbs. of solid muscle and 8 lbs. of fluff. Dodger is the light of Cecily's life (she's been widowed about 4 years), so I know she's going to love all these comments.

  11. Spectacular beast. The picture even makes it look like he would be polite when he ignores you and does his thing.

  12. Dodger looks like a little love! How lucky you are to get to spend so much time with him, and in such a great walking spot!

  13. Craig F -- your comment made me laugh the most, thank you. That's exactly who Dodger is and why he has to wear a bell. As long as I can hear him, he can't be making too much mischief in the woods.
