I make it a personal point to never complain about the heat. I'll whine all winter, but even if it's hot enough for me to be uncomfortable (which takes a lot) I keep my yap shut.
I work with the public. They complain year 'round.
If I don't have something to complain about I'm not happy. Like how hard it is to rip open a Snickers, now that's something to complain about. Cold, hot, doesn't matter, the only place I am really comfortable is in the bank when I'm making a deposit.
I've braved many Midwest winters with little complaint, but this year the unrelenting cold has me really wishing for spring. I can handle snow, but subzero temps is not something I'm used to.
Keep your comments succinct. Any comment that runs longer than 100 words is generally too long.
If you're commenting more than three times a day, it's too much.
Civility is enforced. Spelling/grammar mistakes may be pointed out ONLY in the blog post itself, not in any of the ensuing commenter's contributions.
If your comment doesn't show up, it's most likely that Blogger ate it. Try posting again using a GoogleID. (comment moderation is on only for older posts)

I never complain about heat - ever, never, ever. My joints work better, even my brain, when it's nice and warm.
ReplyDeleteThere's the saying you know..."No one ever retires and moves up north."

ReplyDeleteFifteen below here this morning. Sunny, beautiful, brutally cold.
ReplyDeleteAnn Arbor.
It's coming your way tomorrow. Sorry, NYC.
I'm going to have to kill a character in a freezer tonight. He deserved better; but, it's been a long winter.
Sitting here in Kansas waiting for it to descend. Rain ---> Ice ---> Snow ---> Ice to cap it off.
ReplyDeleteAnd wind, just because . . .
Terri
Nothing like a wind chill advisory to kick off spring break! Really wish I'd splurged on a trip to FLA.

ReplyDeleteI love winter. I love it when the air is sharp and brittle, the sky is heavy, and the wind is salty from the sea.

ReplyDeleteI loved winters before this one. This one has me fantasizing about moving to California.
ReplyDeleteYeah, yeah. Everyone complains about the weather, but no one does anything about it.
ReplyDeleteGosh, I don't know what everyone is complaining about - it is lovely here in the South Pacific.
ReplyDeleteExcept for the cyclones, of course.
I hope everyone is taking notes for use in future works such as The Icicle Murders, No Igloo in Fargo, and Snow Shark: The Frenzy.
