Winter has me on my asterisk

more snow and ice today.
Remember when we were complaining about the heat?
Yea, me either.

(I didn't finish the blog post for today, sorry)

  1. I make it a personal point to never complain about the heat. I'll whine all winter, but even if it's hot enough for me to be uncomfortable (which takes a lot) I keep my yap shut.

I work with the public. They complain year 'round.

  2. I never complain about heat - ever, never, ever. My joints work better, even my brain, when it's nice and warm.

There's the saying you know..."No one ever retires and moves up north."

  3. If I don't have something to complain about I'm not happy. Like how hard it is to rip open a Snickers, now that's something to complain about.
Cold, hot, doesn't matter, the only place I am really comfortable is in the bank when I'm making a deposit.

  5. Fifteen below here this morning. Sunny, beautiful, brutally cold.

    Ann Arbor.

It's coming your way tomorrow. Sorry, NYC.

I'm going to have to kill a character in a freezer tonight. He deserved better; but, it's been a long winter.

  6. Sitting here in Kansas waiting for it to descend. Rain ---> Ice ---> Snow ---> Ice to cap it off.

    And wind, just because . . .

  7. Nothing like a wind chill advisory to kick off spring break! Really wish I'd splurged on a trip to FLA.

  8. I love winter. I love it when the air is sharp and brittle, the sky is heavy, and the wind is salty from the sea.

  9. I've braved many Midwest winters with little complaint, but this year the unrelenting cold has me really wishing for spring. I can handle snow, but subzero temps is not something I'm used to.

  11. Yeah, yeah. Everyone complains about the weather, but no one does anything about it.

  12. Gosh, I don't know what everyone is complaining about - it is lovely here in the South Pacific.

Except for the cyclones, of course.
