Things that made me VERY happy in 2012 (start of a list!)

Well, I just got the ARC for PREMEDITATED by Josin McQuein and I am so happy I can't see straight. Front cover:

Proof positive that a great query letter serves you long after you win QueryShark, secure an agent and get a book deal. That's the back jacket copy that's getting everyone excited to read this book.

  4. Fantastic cover and pitch perfect...well...pitch ;) I'm not usually a big YA fan, so I'm always doubly impressed when someone entices me to read their YA novel.

  7. I remember when Josin was playing around with that query on AW and it was so mindblowing to stumble across it. A fantastic example of how you can establish so much of the character, conflict, and setting with only a few words.

  17. I believe this is the most memorable letter to ever appear on QueryShark, despite breaking all the rules, and most likely because it broke all the rules.

    Oddly, I've recently seen this cover somewhere, and I remember thinking it looks pretty cool. Now that I know of its connection to that legendary QL, I too must own this book.
