My next door neighbor is this lady
This blog post touched my heart. It could have been written about the lady who lives across the hall from me. I've never said more than hello; we don't have much language in common. I think she's got five or six kids in an apartment the size of mine. One that I think is small for two adults. Who are both minimalists. I don't know how she does it.

Keep your comments succinct. Any comment that runs longer than 100 words is generally too long.
If you're commenting more than three times a day, it's too much.
Civility is enforced. Spelling/grammar mistakes may be pointed out ONLY in the blog post itself, not in any of the ensuing commenter's contributions.
If your comment doesn't show up, it's most likely that Blogger ate it. Try posting again using a GoogleID. (comment moderation is on only for older posts)
Thanks for linking to my post, Janet! I noticed my page views had gone up by, like, a million, and I thought that might have been why.
ReplyDeleteGlad you survived the deluge with minimal discomfort!

I thank you for linking it, too. I struggle paycheck to paycheck at times as well, but my burdens are nowhere near as heavy, and I think we should all live by this lady's example in tough times. She is a good person.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this post, Janet. I teach in the city in Toronto, in a neighbourhood that has millionaires and families much like this lady has. I wish there was a way to teach more compassion to bridge the gap between those who have so much and do not realise how hard others work to just dream for the same life for their children.
