    Gee, to think I wasted all that time reding ALL the archives. I mean reading.

    And the saddest part: My query STILL stinks! At least, that's the theory I'm choosing to operate under.

    So... a fawlty tower would be the actual 300,000 word MS that represents the first fictional novel in a trilogy about a shark youth's quest for the perfect kill?

    Could be worse. I submitted my query to Ms. Reid before I knew about Query Shark, or Query Tracker, or really what a query was/is/will ever be. Or in the words of Marty Feldman. "Could be worse. Could be raining."

    Well, he *is* Troglodad. So the fact that he can type on a keyboard means he's come a long way. I read all the Query Shark archives and I think it helped me a lot. My query letter is decent. Yet it's been rejected like 50 times. Ain't no help for us in Publishing World.

    So, I'm off to write 50 Shades of Turquoise... vomit it out, no revising... It's easy work, people. It's where the money is.
