ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to that article. It's comforting to know that even brilliant writers like Franklin (I LOVE this book and his others as well) also need a nudge sometimes to get the awesome out onto the page.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, I was wondering about the title, and now that I see the explanation, I suddenly remember, as a kid, learning how to spell and say Mississippi as fast as I could, forwards and backwards, and "in code":

I saw this and loved reading about his struggle. All the angst and intervention and rewrites worked. This was a GREAT book.
