I just finished this book. It took me by the throat at the first sentence and didn't let go until the last. Actually, it didn't let go at all. I know now I'll be spending some Christmas money on Lee's GHOST COUNTRY.
Keep your comments succinct. Any comment that runs longer than 100 words is generally too long.
If you're commenting more than three times a day, it's too much.

Ooh, I get first comment! Yay! I write at night so it almost never happens (*insert happy dance here*).
ReplyDeleteMoving right along, I never would've pegged this for a sci-fi novel. DeNardo's review was spot-on: this has mainstream thriller written all over it.
Fortunately I have two Trekkies for parents so I'm all over this. I guess you really shouldn't judge a book by its cover after all.
It's so difficult when things fall between mainstream and SF. I wish there were a category just for novels like this.
ReplyDeleteIt would be one small shelf labeled "Books Margaret wants to read."
Margaret there is a category for this kind of book. *clears throat* *sounds trumpet* NYT Bestseller!
ReplyDelete(3 weeks on the extended list hurray!)
In all seriousness, you're quite right. *What* to call this is a never-finished discussion.
How about *Books You Want to Read*!
