ReplyDeleteJust as a side note though, has anyone else noticed the curious double standard regarding vampire & zombie novels?
People whine about there being so many vampire or werewolf novels on the market, whereas zombies, whose stories are just as ubiquitous, seem to get a free pass or be regarded as untouchably cool? Strikes me as odd, especially when you consider the usually more human and relatable vampires/ww's offer a much wider range of original concepts and stories than their lurching, brain-devouring cousins.
Personally, I'm happy for as many novels in both genres to be released as publishers can sell, provided they're interesting and original and play with the tropes, which this one appears to do. But seriously, who bought zombies a free ride on the 'oh god, when will it end?' train?
Believe me Christian RB82, there are plenty of zombie haters out there, crazy as it sounds. Because zombies are forever!
