Hi Janet! That is funny! I blogged about you today and my love for all things shark: http://middlegradeninja.blogspot.com/2010/06/book-of-week-ivys-ever-after-by-dawn.html
Remember the comic about the "alot." Well, her blog went viral right around that time. She was gaining about 1000 followers a week. She now seems to be in a meltdown. I guess there is such a thing as too much success (not sure about that, I would have to try it to be sure . . .)
Man, that definitely has to be bittersweet. To think and wonder how maybe all those people really like your work, only to discover that most of them don't know who you are.
I will have to think up some insanely clever phrase to use as a book title. Shame that most of my titles seem to be one or two words...
Ooh let me have some of them. My new YA fantasy novel, 'Lethal Inheritance,' page has 28 fans. Mind you it's only been up a couple of weeks and the book isn't published yet.
You can read ch1 if you like, on this page - http://publishersearch.wordpress.com/lethal-inheritance/
On the home page there are postings about writing, challenges of the writer's life and getting published.
His response to his sudden "popularity" made me chuckle. I don't read all that much non-fiction, but I may have to check out that book now. And maybe fan his book's page, too. :D
Keep your comments succinct. Any comment that runs longer than 100 words is generally too long.
If you're commenting more than three times a day, it's too much.
Civility is enforced. Spelling/grammar mistakes may be pointed out ONLY in the blog post itself, not in any of the ensuing commenter's contributions.
If your comment doesn't show up, it's most likely that Blogger ate it. Try posting again using a GoogleID. (comment moderation is on only for older posts)
