Listen up!

Don't Listen to Me - a blog post by Myra McEntire - has me reaching for my cut and paste stick so I can steal it in its entirety and recite it at every conference I attend. (Don't tell her, ok?)

  1. I think time and concentration are my biggest excuses. "I can't concentrate. My life is too absurd right now."

  4. I've found that since I decided to actually write for the purposes of getting published, writing has become a lot less fun and getting distracted is *much* easier.

What keeps me going is the realized that a writer writes, period. So no matter how distracted I get, no matter how much I cringe at the words coming from my fingers, I just have to keep going.

  5. Janet, thank you for posting this link. I especially loved the one entitled, Suck it! I think my problem is that I get bogged down in the whole idea that I suck at writing, but watching this clip helps to lessen my stress level. My biggest road block is the suck factor, quickly chased by doubt. Thanks again.

    Peace and love,
    Paula R.
