Take One!
This is fun and wonderful for a lot of reasons but the reason I love it is cause four of the five stars of this video started their publishing careers with us here at FinePrint. I'm just so darn proud of all of them!!

Keep your comments succinct. Any comment that runs longer than 100 words is generally too long.
If you're commenting more than three times a day, it's too much.
Civility is enforced. Spelling/grammar mistakes may be pointed out ONLY in the blog post itself, not in any of the ensuing commenter's contributions.
If your comment doesn't show up, it's most likely that Blogger ate it. Try posting again using a GoogleID. (comment moderation is on only for older posts)
Thanks for posting this. I needed a laugh... even though I really feel bad for the girl who was asked at the very end.
ReplyDeleteOK, now that was funny. I have an idea there was a whole lot of laughter making that.
ReplyDeleteThat was so fun - thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat writing is not enough. It takes great agenting, too. Kudos to all the fine agents at Fine Print.
ReplyDeleteJoanna? I'm pretty sure they planned that :)
ReplyDeleteThe punch line at the end was hilarious. I hope all agents wash their hands before shaking mine at a conference!
ReplyDeleteLe sigh. Watching these smart, witty women made me feel like a fecking dinosaur. Reid, you and I need rocking chairs. Ok, you do. Oh. Wait. I'm older. Gah.
ReplyDeleteSO funny. Plus I love how "real" it made agents/editors appear. Those girls look just like me and my friends...except, y'know, with more power.
ReplyDeleteDoes drunk querying count if you wrote the query while you were sober?
ReplyDeleteThose girls were so cute.
Thanks for posting, Janet! The YA Highway girls and I have been gushing for the past few days about how awesome it is to be featured on the Shark's blog. :D
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks once again to the fabulous ladies who stared in that video!
