Barbara Poelle, menace to polite society

I've mentioned Barbara Poelle here before.
She's also the new and improved version of Miss Tuesday over at the Dead Guy blog.

Her recent post is about what she's looking for. You'll definitely want to query BP if you write what she's looking for. Right after you query ME of course. Barbara may be a menace to polite society but I'm a direct threat.

  1. Yes, but I notice you still don't take science fiction.

  2. Oh, wait, I forgot one other plot I am looking for: this vivacious wildly successful brunette teams up with this shy, delicate, lotus flower little blonde and they start an underground drinking contest circuit that quickly tumbles them into a dark, dark place full of half baked truths and full frontal nudity. We'll call it, THE REID LIGHT DISTRICT

  3. You like zombies and steam-punk, too? Or are those things you would 'let' Barbara take on?

Not that it matters - I don't write those either. Although, I do know a few people who do...

  5. I'd read The Reid Light District. Will there be lots about NYC there? I like NYC.

    After you, of course.

  7. Um, Barbara, there is already "a dark, dark place full of half baked truths and full frontal nudity."

    It is called Washington, D.C.

  8. Then would _you_ please find me the virus-on-a-submarine novel of my dreams? At this rate, I'm going to have to write it myself.

  9. Holy heck, the WIP I just started sounds pretty close to #1 on that list.

Eek! Naturally, though, it's not close enough, nor is it anywhere near to being finished.

    Maybe next book. *grin*

  10. Abby, that would be Bugs on a Sub, right?

  11. A zombie novel? Okay. Let's see. A zombie society, and as with all societies, there are the rebels and outcasts. Let's imagine an adolescent emo zombie who turns her back on her society by taking up ball-room dancing. She's getting into drugs, too -- starting with whiffs of pure oxygen, and as the concerned zombie parents know, when you start sniffing pure O-two you're on the downward slope to mainlining saline solution.

  12. Let's say that between the time that FinePrint turned down my partial with suggestions for a careful edit and now, two things had occurred.

One-I did the close edit. Two-A huge Hollywood/Literary talent (someone w/ a star on the blvd. huge) read, loved and called to discuss the novel.

Then let's say that the novel in question fits w/ number 5 on the list, though is probably a bit more on the literary side than the standard zombie fare.

    Suggestions?
