  3. "Pure, unadulterated evil."

    Said the faithful minion.

Southern, were you there? Yes, it was outstanding. I called in sick tonight. My boss didn't sound happy. Especially since I called in sick last week to pack and will call in sick again Friday to catch a flight to Savannah.

It really was an outstanding event.

  4. Hmmm, I could have sworn your name was spelled "Rachel Vater."

  5. "Some people"? Are you trying to tell us that the handwriting on that ID badge or program, or whatever it is, is NOT your own handwriting? Hmm. Suspicious.

  6. It was great to meet you in Surrey. Hope to see you again sometime and since you loved the first chapter (and thus won my lifelong devotion) I'll be sure you get a copy of What Would Emma Do when it comes out.

  7. Janet,

I was crushed that I couldn't make it up to Surrey this year. I almost drove up at the last minute, but sanity and my husband stopped me.

Hope it was a successful event, and we'll do the carpet picnic with sushi next year.

Oregon misses you. Not in a creepy way, or anything.

  8. Julie, we kept an open seat at the table just in case. And frankly, I was really hoping you'd show up with some of the VooDoo you do so well!

I'll be out at LIRW in January and we'll miss you then too.

    Hopefully soon!

  9. Jes, the handwriting isn't mine. Look at the top: it says "for". The card was in the bag of edible bribes foisted on me, foisted against my will I say!!, by evil evil evil minions of mine.

If you're commenting more than three times a day, it's too much.
