SEAN FERRELL AWARDED FIRST FULTON PRIZE FOR “BUILDING AN ELEPHANT.”
DIANE GOETTEL, managing editor of THE ADIRONDACK REVIEW announced the winner of the first FULTON PRIZE for short fiction, SEAN FERRELL of Brooklyn, for his story “BUILDING AN ELEPHANT.”
Ms Goettel said “We’re very pleased to have such a powerful and imaginative story as the winner of the first annual Fulton Prize”
Mr. Ferrell said “"I'm thrilled to be the winner of the first annual Fulton Prize. The Adirondack Review is a wonderful journal and I couldn't be happier that they are giving my story a home. I was shocked and surprised when I heard from Diane that she had chosen my story. It's exciting to find out that my slightly off-kilter fiction has an audience."
The Fulton Prize is an annual prize in short fiction judged by editors of The Adirondack Review, an online literary quarterly. The winners, finalists, and semi-finalists of the prize were announced in June. Submissions for the second annual Fulton Prize will be accepted starting December 1.
