Still down for the count
at some point I have to get out of bed,
but this is not that day.
Thank god for Fresh Direct!
(I'm pretty sure I'm going to be back among the living tomorrow, but I don't have enough brains to write a post yet)

Keep your comments succinct. Any comment that runs longer than 100 words is generally too long.
If you're commenting more than three times a day, it's too much.
Civility is enforced. Spelling/grammar mistakes may be pointed out ONLY in the blog post itself, not in any of the ensuing commenter's contributions.
If your comment doesn't show up, it's most likely that Blogger ate it. Try posting again using a GoogleID. (comment moderation is on only for older posts)
Glad to hear you're sorta/kinda on the mend. Here's to a full recovery.
ReplyDeleteI thought about calling in dead today myself. Feel better. And be wary of that mad cat. Hopefully, DOY will allow you to rest and recuperate in peace.
ReplyDeleteHoped you'd feel a bit better by now. Just cuddle in with DOY and take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteWith laptops, Iphones and funky (really expensive) watches the writers climbed to the highest heights. Above the masses was heard the chant, "SAVE YOUR BRAINS, SAVE YOUR BRAINS."
ReplyDeleteSending good health vibes (virtual chicken soup & tea with honey, too)
ReplyDeleteGlad you're on the mend.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon Janet. I maintain snuggling under a duvet with a good book counts as work.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon Janet
ReplyDeleteI lost the entire month of December being sick. I totally relate and hope yours doesn't last the full two months!

ReplyDeleteFree Jack Reacher...day 17 of the hostage situation...bless him.
Sounds like a rough one. Get your rest!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that you're still sick. I hope the extra day in bed will be the answer. Not sure what Fresh Direct is, but I say try to get a chicken broth with tons of ginger and garlic. Feel better!
ReplyDeleteHealing is work, too! I hope you'll soon be back to 100 percent, or 97 percent with upward momentum.
ReplyDeleteFeel better Janet!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Fresh Direct! Glad you're a bit better, hope you're among the living again soon.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are on the downside of this. Get well soon, Janet. But it's a comfort knowing the DOY is there to care for you.
ReplyDeleteJanet, I hope you keep feeling better & better.
ReplyDeleteKatja, your comment yesterday was absolutely hilarious. I bet Janet is sorry-not-sorry :)
it is shocking how much being sick affects brainpower. So glad you've been able to get delivery and recuperate!
ReplyDeleteNot every time for me, but this time, I've "just" got a cold and feel like I can hardly think! I just turned edits in on a short story and I sure hope they're fine! (and my deadline wasn't 'til the end of the month anyway, so if they aren't, I'm confident the editor will tell me).
Oh, Lennon, I've only just seen you've spoken to me here. And I just looked at yesterday's post again, AJ Blythe.
ReplyDeleteWell, after Fiancé had told me (or claimed) that asshat wasn't English, he actually asked me where I had that word from. You know, for a moment I was like "WHOA, I KNOW a word HE doesn't know!"
I fancied keeping it to myself for a while, just so he'd ask again. I'm pretty sure I was grinning as I bragged: "From the blog!"
(He knows what 'The Blog' is!!!)
He then concluded: "That must be American slang then."
So, AJ, he said himself what you suggested. :)
I'm STILL gonna use asshat here in the UK.
