Well my brain, which has never been to Colorado, yelled 'COLORADO' and I figured that was a good a guess as any. And then I zoomed the picture slightly and saw a weird looking....light? and my Geoguessr sense made me second guess myself.

ReplyDeleteI concur with Ashland, Or. I just spent two weeks in Eugene with my older brother while he recovered from major back surgery.
ReplyDeleteThere's so much beauty on this earth, and Oregon is one of the most spectacular places. But they're about to get hit with a bomb cyclone. I also have family in Tahoe. They're already getting major snow. My nephew is the publisher of Tahoe Quarterly - he loves it when the drifts are up to the eaves of his house. No thanks.
Colorado is burried under two feet of snow. We haven't had pretty colored trees in almost two months.

Ha, I read Kitty's, then 2N's first line and thought, oh it really must be 'Ashland.' (Then I read the rest of 2N's comment and laughed).
ReplyDeleteJust goes to show the power of suggestion. When more than one person says something with confidence, sometimes you kinda start to believe it. (Yikes!)
And, I want to visit there. That is my kind of world.
The highest point in Fla is 345 feet and that is onto being in Georgia, so I know it isn't here.

ReplyDeleteIt's Ashland, unless I'm way off base. The tall white building is a hotel I stayed in once, an old one that's rather odd.

ReplyDeleteOregon or Washington judging from the green mountains, so I'm following the crowd. Lovely, lovely place.
ReplyDeleteWe have family coming to Northern Arizona from New Mexico, Denver, Durango, and Anchorage. Ironically, Anchorage is the surest bet. New Mexico has already dropped out. I think both Colorado groups will be able to slip out between storms, but we'll all probably be housebound here Thursday and Friday. Good thing I got a big turkey.

ReplyDeleteBeth I hope the storms aren't too bad out there. I remember when I lived in both Flag and Durango, the weather could turn on a dime.
This looks like something out of a fairytale. It seems it's in Oregon, but my guess would have been Skagit Valley in Washington (not that I've been there).
ReplyDeleteKaren McCoy, are you a Shakespeare fan? Because Ashland is known for it's Oregon Shakespeare Festival. They have excellent productions and an interesting mix of plays (not everything is by Shakespeare). Ashland also has a charming downtown and a giant, beautiful park (Lithia Park).

ReplyDeleteI think it is Ashland. In the days BC (before children) my wife and I visited there every year with friends to see great theater at the OSF. We stayed at a B&B. But the tall building looks like the Ashland Springs Hotel, which I'm pretty sure used to be called the Marc Anthony.
