Parade of Pets Day Nine

Our Maine Coon cat Lucille is plotting a take-down of our Christmas tree.

May all your plots be compelling;
all your schemes successful;

Merry Christmas to all y'all.

  5. Merry Christmas, all! Lucille has managed to get a few ornaments down, but so far the tree is still up!

  6. If she dumps the tree, she will waste all of that wonderful tree water.

    Merry Happy, everyone.

  12. Lucille looks awesome as she contemplates treecide. My son has decided he wants a Maine Coon, but holy crow are they expensive.

    Merry Christmas to one and all. I hope all had a good day full of peace and happiness.

  13. Julie, you could always search the Maine Coon Rescues. There are, unfortunately, a lot of them out there...

  14. Lucille is gorgeous, and she seems to be enjoying the ornaments. Yay for Karen, the Fortunate Human Who Gets to Spend Time with Lucille! Bet Lucille is fun to hang out with.

    Merry Christmas, Reef Fam!

  15. Lucille is the spitting image of the late, great, Sedro Wooley, gone more than 22 years now. He was a "mutt" (if you'll forgive me,) but I always suspected he had some Maine Coon cat in his genetic history.
    Lucille is beautiful! I hope your tree was wel anchored.

    Happy holidays to all! I finally got my electric power back, Christmas Eve day, so once again, all is right with my tiny corner of the world, if not in the rest of it.
    I will not fare well in the apocalypse, if the last 5 days are any indication.

  16. HA! I immediately knew that Karen belongs to this cat, as I remember seeing the first/top pic in her FB feed and thinking, "This tree's days are numbered." Hope it survived the holiday.

    Merry Christmas to all of you who celebrate! Wishing the peace and hope of the solstice season to everyone, regardless. This place continues to be an oasis of reason and insight and camaraderie, and for that I thank all of you.

  17. Ha, yes, I'm petting Lucille as we speak! The tree stand has held so far (fingers crossed)!

    Julie, good luck! Lucille was indeed a rescue. We found her at Pet Smart a couple of days after my other Maine Coon succumbed to kidney failure. Lucille was a kitten then, and just as impossible to resist as she is now (she's five).

    I wish all the Reef Fam could spend time with her. Maybe someday... ;)
